2008 THEME COMING SOON
I was peering into my crystal ball when I was shown a tale so eerie it gave me the shivers.
This strange case begins in Northern Ireland. A team of archeologists working at a dig made an exciting find: a casket several thousand years old, with runes carved on it. The head of the team, archeologist Paul Nelson, decided to bring it back here to Shed 16, where he could do more research and consult some colleagues. No one could decipher the inscription, but they all warned him not to risk opening the casket until he had read the message. His curiosity got the better of him, though, and he opened it. It seemed to be empty. Surprised and intrigued, he continued his research, only to learn he had made a bad mistake. By opening the casket, he had released the dracus shut up inside. Dracus are dangerous apparitions that materialize at nightfall, terrifying all who meet them.
Wanting to correct his dreadful mistake, the archeologist tried to find out how to capture the dracus. He found the way, but he was afraid the dracus would try to prevent him from recapturing them. He was right. Several weeks ago, he disappeared. We found this note on his desk:
My colleagues warned me not to open the casket, but I did. To my horror, I set the dracus free. They can be recaptured by closing the casket at one particular moment. In case something happens to me, I have left the full information hidden in riddles to protect it from unfriendly eyes. If we fail, the dracus will be free to wreak havoc for a full year. Be quick. We are running out of time.
To avert disaster, we must find out the day, the month and the hour when the dracus can be returned to the casket. By the way, never touch a dracus. It brings bad luck.
